Vegan and food justice
Vegan and food justice All the Melbourne servings of Food not bombs give out vegan food, which is an important part of the philosophy as an inclusive, environmentally viable and safe way of feeding people. Food Not bombs believes that vegan food choices shouldn't have to require expensive products and complicated and obscure products that make it a privilege of the rich.
Food Not Bombs is a movement that believes that all people should have access to delicious cooked and fresh food and that shuns the waste and warfare of our current society. Healthy food should be what everyone has access to no matter what their situation or income, but it seems to be a privilege of the wealthy. Food not bombs tries to as much as possible to work as the change that they would like to see, in the way they operate, the way the food is delivered and in its ideals.
Anyone who is interested in FNB is welcome and invited to come along to cook or to eat to find out more. If you are interested in being involved but don't have time but have money or resources you would like to donate, FNB is always in need of vegan food products, new cooking equipment as well as money for running costs such as those of the van (we are also in need of a new van!).
